Fairy Tales and Stories
Nathaniel Hawthorne
I created a book cover for Nathaniel Hawthorne’s Fairy Tales and Stories based on the Scottish Nouveau Style. This process began with sketches that I then put into Photoshop and rendered. I used bright pastel colors to appeal to kids or collectors.
I enjoyed compiling my Illustrations of iconic themes with texture to mimic a classic storybook style.
The title and embellishments are hand drawn to further the the whimsical theme.
I used a sketchy yet readable typography for the back of the book to keep the design cohesive.
